The Enterprise Commerce IT (ECIT) China Team is looking for an exceptional Senior Program Manager. If so, consider joining the Enterprise Commerce IT Organization as a Principal Program Manager on the Volume Licensing Engineering Program Management leadership team.

This role is responsible for managing engineering projects for the future-state of Microsoft’s ECIT applications to support Microsoft cloud offerings in China. The project goal is straight forward; enable Microsoft Azure and O365 business in China. Key to achieving the goal for this multi-year project is to deliver a solution that meets the scale and performance needs of a cloud era Microsoft Volume Licensing business. Our mission statement is to “Deliver a superior customer and partner experience across software and online services on an agile and scalable commerce platform”. If you are energized with big challenges and like working on high visibility projects which is related to Microsoft’s China cloud revenue each year. Because we are mission critical, we need a candidate that is comfortable under pressure as well as experience presenting complex subjects to executives.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience delivering and coordinating large projects using software engineering best practices such as project scheduling, functional design, issue/risk management, and cross-division coordination. In addition, the candidate is expected to be an advocate for the development and test disciplines by supporting engineering best practices such as source control management, build automation, unit testing, debugging, issue tracking / bug management, and code reviews. Prior experience working in information technology teams or in Microsoft IT is a plus.

Requirements include:

- Able to design solutions that incorporate quality attributes, meet business requirements, and technology requirements.
- Ensures the project team meets or exceeds established quality goals.
- Ensures that time and resource estimates are accurate.
- Clarifies requirements and influences the business decisions that lead the right solutions.
- Creates feature roadmaps that enable the future business capabilities.

Qualifications include:

- Strong leadership skills.
- Proven track record of shipping secure, high quality software through all phases of the product cycle.
- A strong computer science foundation.
- Outstanding problem solving skills and passion to solve hard problems.
- Background in SQL programming at the SQL or ADO.NET layers is preferred.
- Knowledge of volume licensing business preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related sciences required.
- 5+ years of work experience as a Program Manager, Project Manage or Solution Manager
