PRC Retail Channel Marketing Manager

The Retail Sales & Marketing Division (RSM) of Microsoft China is responsible for the development and delivery of the Sales and Marketing initiaves to the retail channel.

This includes accountability for the revenue and P&L performance of key Business Groups; Windows & Office and Hardware. In addition to revenues, Microsoft China Retail team direcly fosters brand affinity through engaging product demos, telling the Windows and Office brand stories in the PC and Software isles, discovering Windows Hardware, Games, Accessories and more. We get to directly connect with consumers through everything we do and say at retail - this is where we bring the vision to life through meticulous execution of key brand and product marketing strategies and we “bring together the life our consumers love”.

The Retail Channel Marketing role sits within the Retail Sales & Marketing Team. This person is responsible for Account Marketing Execution in the account. The job scope is made up of the following categories:
Own account execution and integration between category management, sales and internal support teams (visual merch, field merch & training) to drive retail programs and execution around in-store presence, training, promotions, and events.
Land Category programs with the accounts to drive BOS attach, 2nd attach and HW business.
Drive Account customized programs to improve account CPE and drive business result
Collaborate with Services, Category, and Sales stakeholders for retail channel planning, execution and feedback for your accounts.
Project management of retailer specific promo’s, events and launches (Merch, online, training. Promo, events and ads)
Own the look and feel of the retail store environment. Instore and Online.

Responsibility/Activity
Account Marketing Management:
- Partner with Account team to deliver to their account specific quarterly marketing programs
- Land Category programs at the account level
- Knowledge of account level inventory and lifecycle management at your accounts in consideration of driving marketing programs.
- Integrate with the Account teams and Retail Services to build account specific Marketing
- plans for training, merchandising, online, and demo plans by account
- Manage implementation of marketing plans in a fiscally responsible way/according to plan
- Understand and implement product level marketing plans at accounts based on budget requirements and inputs.
- Understand best practices across retail and other product categories
- Understand and measure ROI of marketing activities and programs by account
Category Cooperation:
- Understand each category programs;
- Integrate category programs with seasonality and priority at the account level;
- Reporting back to category on program execution status, issues, lessons and learns, etc
Retail Services Cooperation:
- Work with Retail Services team to ensure a solid execution landing into the account stores in key cities;
- Summarize in-store execution for the retailer;

Qualification
-Minimum 5-7 years experience - program/campaign management, product management, project management, marketing management or related field (retailer or vendor experience is a plus).
-Track record in and high degree of implementation is a must.
-Proven success in operating within a variety of cultures and corporate environments.
-Agency/Vendor Management.
-Account Marketing Management.
-A marketing, business or related field is needed. MBA or equivalent degreed is preferred
-Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and concisely both verbally and in written form.
-Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
-Strong team oriented individual.
-Being a self-starter.
-Relationship management - ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific objectives.
-Ability to work independently and take action to achieve position goals and objectives.
-Ability to remain productive and focused in a fast paced, evolving and ambiguous environment.
-Knowledge of Microsoft strategy and relative strength of our products within a given category.
-Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook)
