Job Description:

Microsoft’s fundamental research arm in the Asia Pacific region, was founded in 1998 in Beijing. By attracting the best talent from Asia and across the globe, Microsoft Research Asia has grown into a world-class research lab that constantly pushes forward the state of the art and helps to improve people’s computing experiences.

Today, with more than 230 researchers and developers and more than 250 visiting scientists and students, the lab conducts basic research in 5 areas central to Microsoft’s long-term strategy and future computing vision:

- Natural user interfaces
- Next-generation multimedia
- Data-intensive computing
- Search and online advertising
- Computer science fundamental

We are looking for the candidate at all levels, including Software Development Engineer, Assistant Researcher, Associate Researcher, Researcher, Senior Researcher and Research Manager in the 5 areas.

Responsibility:
-Creativity, self-motivation, and a team work ethic.
-Develop solutions to machine learning problems with large scale data
-Passion about research and technology innovation.
-Demonstrable ability to generate new ideas and execute on a research project effectively.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
-Broad knowledge and expertise in computer science and mathematics.

Requirements:
-Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
-Strong understanding of technology trends.
-Outstanding track record and professional accomplishments commensurate with his/her level of experience.
