The Engineer Excellence (EE) team, chartered to advance engineering and engineers across Microsoft, offers a unique opportunity to have a career advancing experience, enabling you to develop your leadership abilitues, strategic thinking and customer focused attitude.

Given that the business objectives of the EE team are inherently aligned with those of the regional BGs, and the learning solutions are highly customized to meet needs, this role is sponsored by the members of the Senior Leadership Team, recognizing the short term value to the engineering team and the long term value to the region and the individual.

You will be part of the EE international team and work with the L&D team based in Microsoft Headquarters to develop and deliver a compelling set of performance improvement solutions to close identified gaps in the development capability of the ARD teams.

Specific activities incudes:

• Partner with ARD engineering leaders and L&D team to support business direction and the strategic plans for engineering team and offer relevant lrearning solutions;
• Participate in the analysis and gap-identification for ARD engineering team and driving both local planning and awarness and planning for ARD sites in EE Global L&D planning;
• Manage program delivery in ARD;
• Support regional discipline Leadership Team driving local initiatives;
• Support EE strategic initiatives, customized to the regional mneeds, this includes one or more of the followings:

1. Sopport the transition to service through presentations, intact team training, and consuling engagement;

2. Evangelizing scenario focused engineering: leadership pre-meetings, intact team trainings, leadership post mortems, custom consulting throughout the project cycle followin training delivery

3. Develop and drive large scale onboarding programs in collaboration with the BGs

• Delivering SDE, PM, and SDET learning solutions; develop and customize learning solutions for the specific needs in ARD and for global use, including foundation training, ongoing technical training and advanced topics for experience engineers;
• Supporting programs to develop Senior and Principal-level engineers in the region;
• Fostering a vibrant Engineering Community through meet-ups
• Mentoring ICs and managers in region
• Drive community activities and events like the Engineering forums and the Garage initiative;

Qualifications:

• To qualify for this position you must have a history of successfully shipping multiple products and services at Microsoft;
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive for results, with focus on customer needs;
• A passion for improving people, process and tools;
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and presentr technical information;
• Ability to manage and coach ICs and managers at Microsoft;
• The ability to influence management through presentations, written and interpersonal communication;
• You should have a broad awarness of Microsoft and industry development practices and technologies;
• Regional travel is required, as well as periodic travel to headquarter;
