Technical Evangelist - Vertical Industries
Location: Beijing, CN

Ever wanted to evangelize the latest Microsoft devices and services technologies to top ISV partners in one of four vertical areas? Our partners are building amazing applications with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Windows and we are looking for a technical evangelist with strong developer skills to join the Technical Evangelism and Development (TED) team with the objective to drive adoption and development of industry leading applications and services across devices.

The candidate would need to demonstrate deep technical knowledge and development experience specifically with the Microsoft Azure and Windows, present at key vertical partner events, engage with partners on architectural design sessions and support the development of partner applications. The role also provides leadership responsibilities to other members of the Microsoft Technical community, where the candidate will be the subject matter expert in one of four vertical areas and will lead and provide support to aid partner adoption in the region. Finally as part of the role, the candidate will need to work closely with the Microsoft Azure and Windows engineering groups, providing partner feedback and influencing the roadmap for future releases.

In this role, you would be responsible for:
-Demonstrating technical subject matter expertise in one of four verticals (Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Government) to present at vertically focused developer events, ISV architect design sessions, and resolve issues for partners building applications on the Microsoft platform.
-Developing commercially available Microsoft Azure and Windows enabled applications.
-Provide subject matter expertise and leadership between the Microsoft Corp and Microsoft field teams to drive top partner opportunities
-Working closely with the Microsoft Azure and Windows engineering groups to provide feedback to influence the future product roadmap.

The ideal candidate will have:
-Demonstrated deep technical developer capabilities across the Microsoft Azure and Windows Phone platforms.
-A deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, and emerging trends.
-Great communication and presentation skills
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and knowledge of one of the four vertical areas (Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Government)
-Strong knowledge of application development practices and a track record of working closely with large development teams
-Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, and follow through with ISV partners
-BS/BA degree, Masters in Computer Science preferred
