Overview of Group/Department Role Sits in within MS
This is a position in the Customer and Partners programs team within Microsoft Dynamics CRM
engineering. This group is responsible for advising customers and partners on establishing their reference solution architecture, conducting product gap-fit analysis for future innovation projects and identifying new opportunities for customer-driven innovation along with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM team. Successful candidates must have a strong technical/architectural foundation in working with enterprise customers, and have the ability to advise and deliver necessary functional guidance to positively impact business outcome.
Dynamics CRM is the fastest-growing, global CRM solution around the world. Designed for both cloud and on-premises deployment, customers often require high degrees of solution fit and customization in order to achieve successful deployment of this offering.
Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager with excellent architecture and systems deployment skills for enterprise customers who have a background in designing enterprise CRM systems. Experience with enterprise CRM application packages such as Dynamics CRM, Oracle Siebel or SAP CRM is a plus.
Preferably the candidate would have a proven track record in ensuring long-term success in managing customer relationships, expectations and communications. This position requires excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to excel in working with leading global accounts.
Key Responsibilities
-Responsibilities will include establishing strategic relationships with strategic Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers to perform the following activities:
-Ensure appropriate solution design and reference architectures are established to drive high-scale system adoption and global deployment performance optimization.
-Orchestrate escalation management processes with direct product group support to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
-Work with customers to develop and deliver solution roadmap guidance and continuity planning across major versions of our software and service offerings.
-Provide customer-specific feedback to CRM Program Management to ensure that customer feedback is aggregated and prioritized within future innovation efforts.
The successful candidate is able to lead strategic customers through all phases of deployment - from early adoption of new technology to developing new innovation concepts for the future. CRM technology is changing at a rapid pace, so a self-driven attitude to dealing with new problem areas and a natural ability to innovate is essential.
Aside from daily interaction with MBS engineering team members of various disciplines, you will extensively collaborate with remote teams inside MBS, Support and MCS. Because of this, proven communication skills are essential in order to ensure an optimal alignment between the work done across sites and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate is pro-active, shows an ability to see the big picture and can prioritize the right work items in order to optimize the overall team output.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required experience and qualifications:
- A Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Expertise in CRM functional, technical or project specific deployments within large enterprise and global accounts.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application design, deployment or project management
- Exposure to cloud based technologies like Windows Azure, Office 365
- Passion for Customer Success and intimate knowledge of processes, that ensure high quality projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Proven development track record in owning and delivering complex solutions in heterogeneous solution environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent influential skills.
- Solid experience in working across disciplines and geographical borders.
- Ability to work independently and be self-driven.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes. Passionate about team and peer development.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and CRM Online.
- Familiarity with cloud-computing and SaaS systems deployment in the enterprise.
- Deep knowledge and experience CRM systems in processes.
- Deep knowledge in setting business strategy to align with technology vision.
- Deep knowledge in reference solution architecture for scalability, security across global sites.
- Deep knowledge and experience in managing customer vision and expectations.
