Internet of Things (IoT) China team is at a pivot position of Microsoft’s Device and Cloud vision to advance product innovations and business impact with end to end scenarios with connected devices and continuous services. IoT China team is now looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead and accomplish mission critical product engineering ownership in China. Specifically, we are looking for a strong performer with a proven track record of ideation, planning and execution.

As a Senior Program Manager in Internet of Things (IoT) China team, you will be given a portion of embedded product/release ownership, then engaging with various resource and information to deliver your portion on-scope, on-time and on-quality. To ensure the team’s success, you will need to learn the technology trends, understand the technology details and explore new business opportunities in the IoT domain. You will also need to work with planning team and other related teams to propose new areas that product team should invest on. Then you will need to get your proposal convinced and approved then work with engineering resource to implement proposal with established engineering practices and agreed schedule. Finally, you will need to evangelize the work internally and externally to maximize impact and influence.

Requirements:
This position requires an individual who understands how to get things done at Microsoft through direct decision-making authority as well as influence across teams/organizations. Candidate should have strong technical understanding and relationships with other strategic groups across Microsoft. Candidate should have strong balance between technical expertise in Embedded client/service development and rich experience in project management. In addition, candidate must be strong in planning, internal/external team collaborating and customer relationship building.

This Senior Program Manager position requests the candidate to have strong analytical/problem solving skills, demonstrated success in shipping, strong communication skills (verbal and written), proven project management skills, excellent externally facing interaction and execution skills, and self-motivated altitude. The candidate should also enjoy working under pressure and deadlines, and be flexible with tolerance for and ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty.

Experience in Automotive In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) and/or Telematics services development is a bonus.
