Position Overview

This recruitment is an exclusive world-wide initiative which aims to attract outside talent and develop near-term future senior finance leaders for Ericsson, and is complimentary to internal talent development initiatives.

This position is for a line manager who will 1) lead a team that is responsible for delivering quality in the financial figures, for providing insightful financial analysis, and for empowering business owners to drive actions that enable targeted financial results, 2) personally participate & contribute in guiding overall units strategy, performance & execution, 3) actively contribute to global Business Finance forums and strategic initiatives.

Unit Overview

Business Finance is responsible for all of the financial management reporting & analytics within the Ericsson group. The Business Finance mission is to “Provide insight that empowers fact based decision making”. The Business Finance organization consists of ten Business Finance Competence Centers (BFCCs) located in each of 10 Regions, one R&D BFCC and BFCC supporting the Business Units and the Group Functions.

Description

This position, located in Region North East Asia, is a key leadership role reporting to the Head of Business Finance RNEA BFCC and is a member of the Business Finance RNEA BFCC Leadership Team

The responsibilities shall include but not limited to

Responsible for strategic and daily operations of the team

• Ensure key deliverables are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure quality in the financial results
• Provide advice in an actionable format and influence key stake holders
• Drive accuracy and efficiency in the financial forecasts and reporting
• Where issues are identified, drive change and resolution of root cause issues
• Support ad hoc requests from the business in order to drive business decisions
• Support the overall Global Business Finance strategy, drive strategic initiatives, execute on Operational plans

Bring strong leadership to the team

• Provide direction, coaching, and prioritization to the team to secure that goals are met
• Develop competence and high performance within the team
• Develop talent for current and future needs within Ericsson
• Facilitate best practice and knowledge sharing
• Drive requirements on methods and tool development

Support in the overall governance of Business Finance

• Organization (hc, recruitments, talent planning, structure / roles, capabilities, etc)
• Budget (cost forecast & follow-up, address issues, etc)
• Performance (follow-up on operational plans, support operational challenges, maintain holistic picture of progress and/ or needs, audit readiness, etc)
• Strategy Execution (follow-up on implementation of strategic initiatives, and maintain holistic picture of progress and/ or needs)

Represent Business Finance as key member of the leadership team

• Steering / driving / supporting various strategic initiatives on behalf of Business Finance RNEA Business Finance Head
• Representing Business Finance RNEA Business Finance Head, in various key forums or speaking engagements

An understanding of the following tools is preferable but not mandatory

• Business Warehouse and MST
• SAP for issue investigation

Qualifications and experience

• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience, including leadership experience managing a team of professionals
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the business in the areas of Management Reporting, Financial Analysis and / or Controlling
• Global perspective via international assignment abroad, studies abroad, or having a broad role at multinational companies is highly desirable
• Experience in Telecom Industry is desirable
