Job description
Leads activities to support/advise sales executives / leaders in developing business strategies to identify/address challenges and drive improvements in sales performance, maintaining a close working relationship with sales executives / leaders and acting as their Trusted Advisor for SMS-supported activities. Champions the SMS mission emphasizing Sales Execution and Management, Sales Compliance, and Client Satisfaction. Analyzes win/loss trends and integrates with CSAT results to identify actions to improve our win odds and sales results. Interfaces as needed within SMS and other organizations in IBM (i.e., F&P, HR, Marketing, BTIT, Business Operations, and S&ST functions like SRA, STH, Sales Transformation and Sales Strategy) to execute assigned responsibilities. The employee guides functional objectives or technologies.

Contribution/Leadership:
Provides ongoing technical /operational guidance to lead professional work teams, conducts special projects, or manages department(s) (national or international). Understand department/ functional mission and vision. Defines and decides objectives within specified business concept or project and may have responsibility for tools and assigned resources. Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function. Sometimes no precedent exists.
Impact on Business/Scope:
Accountable for department results and for activities and/or projects involving multi-functional teams. Regularly participates in overall functional program planning. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact project costs or expenses.
