职位描述

Role Statement:

The Field Engineer (FE) is the outside engineering representative for a number of strategic accounts in the rail application. The major tasks in this role are to identify the needs of the customer and to find -together with the customer- new solutions and opportunities for customer’s application, using known technologies or new innovative developments. The position is responsible for the design-in and development of new products and for managing the seamless and speedy execution of sales and engineering projects. The Field Engineer works as the interface between the customer and the relevant TE Engineering Centers [and manufacturing plants]. The position also owns the full customer support in technical related items concerning the TE products by cooperating with Product Managers.


Key Goals & Objectives:

? Build strong relationship with R & D Team of key customers

? Generate pending project pipeline and close a certain percentage on conversion

? Drive Chanel to develop other customers in China

? New key customer development

? New Product Stream

Project Management of new and existing sales and engineering projects from demand creation to production:

? Interface between the TE Engineering design team and the customer to ensure that both sides understand the requirements and have all needed information available

? Coordination and early involvement and on-time communication with all involved TE internal departments (account manager, engineering, operation, project management, marketing, etc.)

? Ensure on time customer delivery of all information, including samples and supporting design and product verification activities

? Must have demonstrated successful experience in process management

? Excellent project management and presentation skills

? Provide regular project status updates to the involved parties, especially the Account Manager and Sales Managers


Develop and maintain a good Customer Relationship and Support customer in technical related items concerning the TE products:

? Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Focus on customer contentment and focus on customer projects on time within budget

? Gain, correctly interpret and apply to customer information, internal data and divers research results (markets, competition, technology roadmaps, trends)

? Work out, prepare and present TE proposals (product selection, design solutions and project objectives) to customers

? Problem solving and assessing technical complaints - Provide technical consultancy and give advise

? Help quality teams solve problems with TE products with on-site evaluation and detailed discussion with customers

? Draft product specifications and make adjustments with the customer


Additional Requirements:

? Connector background is preferred

? Rail education (Graduated from Rail University)

? Served for metro market / metro customers over 3 years, as major suppliers or major sub-system suppliers

? Good knowledge about Elevator, Security and HVAC market.

? Strategic view on product development

? Need of business acumen

? Excellent results of team work with cross functional teams such as AM / FE / IM / PM / ENG / CTL


Particular Skills & Abilities Required:

? have minimum a bachelor’s engineering degree in minimum one of the academic disciplines mechanics, electrics, electronics or relevant

? Minimum 5 years experience on sales or technical support job

? The ability to understand and work out complex technical solutions

? Capability of creative, analytical and structured thinking with the ability to execute on priorities

? Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (inside and outside of TE)

? Ability to work toward targets and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans

? Fully acquainted with the computer and common software.


General:

The function reports directly to the Sales Manager.

The position will be located in North(Beijing, Tianjin, Northeast)
