Process Development Engineer(Ref Code: 15615BR)

- To be responsible for process development for passive, high speed Tx/Rx components and smart modules based on project-oriented.

- To engage the global cross R&D functional team to aid in DFx input, platform selection, BOM/equipment vendor interaction, prototyping, process development and validation, and device characterization to develop low-cost high-yield assembly processes and the robust design of the innovative solutions and process technologies.

- To cooperate closely with company's other sites for new product development, work with MFG Engineering Department and CM NPI Engineering Department for bringing the product to limited or volume production.

- To demonstrate and develop strong analytical and statistical process design skills leading risk reduction through the conceptual design, development, NPI and volume production stages of R&D. Good knowledge and understanding of development and quality tools like 6 Sigma, DOE, Gage R&R, Process capability etc.

Education/ Experience/ Knowledge Qualification:

- BS or MS degree or higher in physics, material science, optics, mechanical engineering or equivalent fiber optics industry experience.

- 8+ years of fiber-optics industry with process engineering and development experience, experienced in passive or Tx/Rx component packaging processes such as die attach, wire bonding, alignment, hermetic sealing, resistance and laser welding, epoxy and soldering. Thorough knowledge and actual process owner experience on hermetic sealing/laser or resistance welding would be preferred.

- Strong process development background utilizing DOE, SPC, DFX;

- A proven history/record of research process and project management skills.
