Responsibilities:

- Read customer specifications and JDSU internal design documents to understand the detailed product design requirements;

- Develop validation and verification test plan for new product, prime test plan review;
Setup test station HW as per test plan;

- Develop and maintain the automation verification test SW;

- Perform verification test, data analysis and reporting;

- Provide weekly verification progress update;

- Report design bug and track bug fix;

- Perform regression test for new FW load;

- Provide test and engineering support to design team and manufacturing;

- This DVT Test position will be more focusing on FW and System SW level.

Education/ Experience/ Knowledge Qualification:

- Optics, telecommunication or computer science related engineering degree. Bachelor is the minimum requirement and Master preferred;

- 4 years or above related industry experience;

- Deep technical background in optical communications, hands-on experiences in EDFA, WSS module/subsystem testing are highly preferred;

- Good understanding of EDFA, WSS test principle and methodology;

- Good skills in VB6 programming, able to develop VB test codes in a fast manner; other skills e.g. VB.Net, Perl, Expect script development highly preferred.

- Familiar with most optical measurement instruments, such as TLS, Power meter, OSA, Oscilloscope etc. Familiar with Ethernet, GPIB, RS232 protocol;

- Knowledge of basic analog/digital circuits, optical components, EDFA and WSS controlling schematic;

- NPI or R&D experience for optical module or subsystem is preferred;

Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking);
