R&D Staff Process Engineer
Responsibility:
-Develop/maintain manual and automatic optical alignment process for high power diode laser device
-Work closely with cross functional team to design and develop assembly process for manufacturing
-Participate in vendor interaction, prototyping, process development and validation, and device characterization.
-Lead failure analysis and corrective actions.
-Support CM NPI team to bring the product to limited or volume production.
-Participates in new product qualification and process/yield improvement
Education/ Experience/ Knowledge Qualification:
-Strong background in fiber optics and optical electronics device, especially for high power diode lasers (or bar) product.
-Deep knowledge in fiber optic component lens/fiber alignment process
-Hands-on experience on epoxy (UV and heat-curing), soldering process and testing procedure.
-Strong process development background utilizing DOE, SPC, DFX.
-Knowledge of reliability test (such as Telcordia requirement etc) and failure analysis.
-MS/PhD in mechanical/optical/electrical engineering or materials science preferred
-10+ years experience in optoelectronic components industry
-Z-max experience a plus.
-Good teamwork and customer-oriented.
-Fluent in English in speaking, reading and writing.
