The Chief Technology Officer, China, will play a key role in helping Avaya achieve its objectives in the region.This position is based at Avaya China’s headquarters in Shanghai or Beijing might be an acceptable location as well. Some travel is necessary, domestic and international. Work is across time zones and cultures, as Avaya has a global presence.

Job Profile-

? Evaluating strategic opportunities for Avaya in terms of local products and technology alliances
? Developing plans to make Avaya products (or a relevant subset) more relevant to the Chinese market
? Over time, building in-country technical strength so that Avaya will be increasingly perceived as a local player
? Participate to the global innovation strategy led from Avaya Labs.

Prerequisites for the position include:

? Chinese (Mandarin) / English fluency
? 10-15 years experience in development of voice, video, unified communications, contact center solutions.
? 5-10 years experience in a multinational corporation.
? Management experience of technical teams.
? Forward thinking, active learning and understanding of new technologies.
? Executive presence and communications, ability to influence stakeholders and senior leaders, internally and externally.
? Comfortable with customers and evangelizing new technologies
? Ability to manage aggressive timelines, multiple projects and sometimes conflicting priorities.
? Valuing company and team success first.
