Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the process development and validation for optical communication device (pump laser).
-Collaborate closely with cross functional team for new product development and CM NPI team for bringing the product to limited or volume production.
-Leading risk reduction through the conceptual design, development and NPI stages of R&D.
-Perform in-line failure mode analysis (FMA), identify actions for yield and cycle time improvement, and carry out reliability test per GR468-core.
-Participate in fixture design for device assembly and test.

Education/ Experience/ Knowledge Qualification:

-Strong optical design or process development experience for polarized fiber opt-electronics device (such pump laser or other optical fiber-telecom active device.).
-Strong analytical and statistical process design skills and background utilizing DOE, SPC, DFX.
-Knowledge of reliability test (such as Telcordia requirement etc.) and failure analysis.
-BS/MS/PhD in mechanical/optical/electrical engineering or materials science.
-Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
-Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
