The Team:
- Business Intelligence Engineering (BIE) is a dynamic organization that delivers credible data to help Microsoft’s internal business partners and employees gain powerful insights across the various LOBs from its Enterprise Data Warehouse platform. The ability to make faster, better decisions via efficient and reliable management information systems adds tremendous value in driving key business outcomes.
- We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and results-driven program manager proficient in product / feature design, product management and program management. This person is expected to validate end-to-end scenarios across various integrated systems and analyze the impact and potential changes to the respective BIE platform. The person will be responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing, tracking and delivering designated projects. He / She needs to manage relationship up and across and gain business insights of value to our internal partners / customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication & people skill, sound analytical disposition, critical thinking and solid understanding on Microsoft BI technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with upstream SD team and downstream IT teams to validate business requirement, analyze change, plan and design high quality, high performance, innovative BI solutions for Microsoft business units.
- Drive, design, and coordinate key features and components with integration partner systems. Produce quality FSD and collaborate with engineering team to translate functional requirements into technical design.
- Proactive team player who can anticipate & enable change, drive consensus among team members, and manage projects according to plans while working effectively across global teams.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure project is on schedule, on budget and on quality.
Proactively manage risk, raise issues, and establish communication channels with all the stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of program management experiences in defining project scope, tracking project schedule, managing dependencies and resolving release variances across projects.
- Proven track record in writing quality functional specifications and source to target mapping documentation.
- Proven experiences in database, data modeling, metric design, reporting, SQL and common DW principles. Ability to read / understand / update data models.
- Strong technical insights and experiences of working closely with developers and testers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience working with BI / ETL processing complexities is a plus.
- Experience working on projects with geographically distributed teams is a bonus.
- A BA / BS degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field
