Would you like to be front and center developing tooling used across Windows, Windows Phone and Office and helps Microsoft ensure that its implementations of the world's most important protocols are working as advertised? As part of this effort, the Winterop China Protocol Test Suites Development team has been tasked with designing test suites following Protocol Quality Assurance Process to evaluate Microsoft technical documentations on protocol behaviors to meet interoperability mandates. We ship the protocol test suites for internal and 3rd party to test protocol implementation.

We are looking for a talented SDET II with a strong technical foundation - one who is passionate about writing test automations across different technologies and programming languages. As an SDETII in our team, your primary focus is to develop testing and diagnosis tools to enable better efficiency and allow more reliable test suites for protocol engineering. In your job, you will be exposed to varied problems that will involve working extensively with different types of technologies such as TCP/IP, SOAP, RPC, XML, binary based file formats, and Cloud. You will interact with other testers, developers, project managers, Redmond product teams, and others as you help refine requirements and improve our deliverables quality across the organization. To be successful in this position, you must have rock-solid coding and testing skills and great problem solving skills. You need to thrive on complex and ambiguous problems, and demonstrate your ability to make solid progress when a priori solutions are non-existent or poorly defined.

Qualifications include:
- 5+ years strong software development/test experiences
- Strong passion for interoperability and customers
- Strong passion for engineering excellence through automation and process improvements
- Design and coding skills in C++/C# and .NET Framework
- Experience testing Web Services, APIs or Documentation is a plus
- Experience with Linux platform is a plus
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
