Position Objectives:

? STA Resident Manager supports running production through identifying, initiating and resolving quality concerns regarding incoming material or Stop Shipments. An integral part of the role is to direct Site STA resources to enable resolution and reduction of supplier issues.
? The STA Resident Manager works closely with Plant and Incoming Quality (IQ).


The Role & Key Responsibilities:

? Complete analysis of escalated Plant Quality issues and drive concerns to solution with suppliers.
? Develop and maintain Priority List containing escalated suppliers.
? Address and track items towards the concerned Site STA organization where assistance is needed.
? Identify possible JLRQ performance issues for further actions according to JLRQ procedure
? Provide lead and/or support within the areas of:
o Incoming quality and concern resolution/escalation process:
？ Co-lead IQ Meeting
？ Work with Plant IQ to identify suppliers for IQ improvement initiatives
？ Coordinate resolution of supplier quality issues with Site STA engineers
？ Identify and direct Site STA engineers in resolution of chronic external supplier quality issues
？ Leverage STA/Purchasing assistance when concern resolution cannot be achieved
？ Review/verify QR/PPM data accuracy in cooperation with Site STA Engineers
o Establishing STA priorities:
？ Provide the voice of the plant in establishing STA priorities
o Identify suppliers to resolve quality issues:
？ Support chronic suppliers of quality issues and work with plant and Site STA engineers to resolve
？ Drive reduction of supplier PPM defect rates in conjunction with IQ and Site STA engineers
？ Identify cases where JLRQ actions are required due to systemic issues
？ Work with suppliers to resolve Top Customer Satisfaction/Warranty issues
o VRT and reliability issues:
？ Represent STA on PVT Variability Reduction Team
？ Work in conjunction with plant to identify supplier caused Stop Shipments
？ Provide interim support in containing supplier issues
？ Communicate Stop Shipments to Site STA engineer for resolution (Initiate FASS)
？ Facilitate supplier involvement in key plant processes & teams (Quality Reviews)
？ Communicate Best Practices/Lessons Learned from STA activities to the plants
? The STA Resident Manager has the authority to:
o Recommend actions according to JLRQ procedures due to external supplier's inability to meet JLRQ quality requirements.
o Address Supplier process related quality tasks related to external suppliers towards the concerned Site STA organization in order to resolve concerns in respect of PVT, VRT and Plant Quality agenda
o Determine if actions taken by Site STA organization and / or supplier are sufficient in order to resolve concerns
o Drive concern resolution of Supplier process related quality concerns according to the 8D methodology.
o Reports to STA Programme & Resident Manager

Together with a relevant degree , experience in the following areas would be beneficial :

? Bachelor Degree
? Good Team player
? Solid Problem solving skills on diagnosing root cause, finding out solution. 6-sigma on Black/Green Belt or 8D knowledge is preferred
? Solid Communication and Inter-personnel skill is required
? Solid Influence and conflict management skill is required
? Self-Initiative and Self-motivation on handling challenge cases
? Good English both in Oral and Written
