As the one of the most important product lines of Freescale – StarCore digital signal processor business grows rapidly in Asia. The business of StarCore DSP has been growing substantially in networking and telecommunication infrastructure and Industrial.
In order for better support for this product line, Freescale builds the software R&D center in ChengDu with talented engineers working for latest wireless communication technology developing baseband software, solution as well as customer support.
We now recruit the “DSP software engineer” for Freescale Networking and Multimedia Solution Group (NMSG) in Asia Pacific Region. This is a software engineering role within the Software R&D team based in Chengdu, China. The role will report into the local (Chengdu) DSP Technical Lead. It is a contributing role that involves daily technical activities associated with DSP applications development. There will be a focus on providing regional-specific support; initially this will be for general DSP technology, advancing into a level of system expertise in wireless capable of discussing system level benefits of Freescale Technology.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Development, testing, documentation and support of DSP applications as a contributing member of the DSP team in Chengdu with special emphasis on regional focus (China, Korea, etc).
- The Generation/Publishing of benchmark results and Application Notes that illustrate the performance available from Freescale Digital Signal Processing (DSP) solutions
- Provide support to regional FAEs and AEs involved in DSP design win efforts.

Qualifications:
To ensure your successful performance in this role, the following working experience is required:
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronic/Microprocessor Engineering, or similar discipline, with 3 years solid working experience in DSP
- Exposure to DSP embedded software systems and/or embedded applications development.
- ability to work in a team-environment
- Domain Knowledge of 3G / 4G wireless technology is desired, TD-SCDMA / LTE experience preferred
- Task/Project Driven, process oriented
- Functional command of Spoken/Written English
