Job Title：Front End Developer

Reports to：Functional head of visual design and relevant project manager in UK


General Description：

Salmon is a highly innovative global systems integrator based in UK specialising in delivering eCommerce solutions based on IBM WebSphere Commerce platform. As an IBM golden parter and following IBM's strategical move to expand WebSphere Commerce based solutions into Chinese market,Salmon successfully set up the Beijing Office in 2007 and is smoothly building the Chinese development,testing and technical support teams as part of its global service team and alongside Salmon's other subsidiaries in USA, Australia and India.



We are currently seeking an additional Front End Developer for our eCommerce development team in Beijing working on global projects reporting to visual design in UK.


The successful candidate will need to:

· Create prototypes and production-ready XHTML/CSS

· Focus on user needs and optimum user experience

· Stay current with evolving standards and technologies, learning new skills as needed

· Integrate production-ready XHTML cross-browser compliant valid CSS into JSP coded pages in a integrated development environment


Experience requirements：

· Essential

* Mastery of hand-coded XHTML and CSS, adhering to W3C standards. Table-free layouts; semantic markup; standards enthusiast.

* Familiarity with Micro-formats, JavaScript and JavaScript Libraries

* Willingness to contribute to both large, complex projects and smaller tasks as directed.

* Ability to work quickly and manage multiple projects and timelines.

* Great attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills.

* Excellent problem solving ability.

* Good understanding/awareness of Usability, Accessibility, Cross Browser issues.

· Desired

* Experience of industry standard vector & bitmap graphics packages.


* Experience of working on Java projects would be extremely advantageous.


The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate examples of the following technologies HTML, XHTML, Javascript, CSS and ideally JSP and JSTL.
