Working Place: Qing Dao, supplier work yard



Join Time: Late of 2012 or Beginning of 2013



Basic Function



The QC Specialist is responsible for Quality Control of material, parts and products from supplier in Qing Dao.


1. Primary Duties and Responsibilities



1.1 Site Activities



a) Responsible for site dimensional and visual inspection, NDE, Coating and hardness testing of material, parts, and products. NDE Inspector qualified Level II in Magnetic Particle Test, Liquid Penetrant Test, Ultrasound Test and RT (Able to review and interpret films), or, Welding Inspector; Familiar with AWS D1.1, API 6A, API 17D, ASME B1,3, Coatings.

b) Monitoring of testing activities & NDT, verification of equipment marking and application of industry marks.

c) Visual examination and verification on vendor supplied documentation.

d) Responsible for site calibration & records, or other related duties when required




1.2 Administration



a) Perform computer (SAP) transactions related to job activities.

b) Preparation of quality records (Data Books MRB's) as required for material, parts or products.




2. Principle Working Relationship


a) Works directly under Site QC Managers

b) Takes instructions from the Site QC Managers on daily activities

c) Work with supplier to ensure the product quality in accordance with standard required




3. Education / Experience Requirements



a) Bachelor Degree or equivalent

b) 5 year related working experience in oil & gas industry, with knowledge of manifold

c) Knowledge of blueprint reading

d) SAP experience, and proficiency in the use of personal computer applications.

e) Proficiency in communication in English

f) Knowledge of different material grades as a plus.
