Job Title: Claim Manager

ThyssenKrupp Mannex GmbH China is a branch of its German based mother company ThyssenKrupp Mannex AG. In China we are an international steel trading company with total purchases from China of $ 500 million per annum. We are located in Beijing and Shanghai to serve our customers both inside and out of China. Now we are looking for a Claims Manager to actively manage all claims from initial notification until final closure.

Typical responsibilities include:

1) Liaise with both Chinese suppliers and overseas customers and international inspection agencies to evaluate and diagnose nature of claim. Collect and document data / evidence following specification and norms.
2) Follow through complete claim management portfolio and liaison with the trading team, and if necessary the legal team to document and proactively find resolutions to the claim.
3) Assist commercial team with payment collection.

Requirements:

1) Strong technical background at metallurgical industry;
2) Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese;
3) Working experiences at steel/pipe trading business and good understanding to the industry’s products and standards;
4) Have sufficient technical knowledge that they are able to negotiate with suppliers, customers, international survey organizations and insurance companies in order to achieve a favorable outcome for the company..
5) University graduate education level.
6) Previous experience in inspection organization (such as SGS) highly preferred.
