Position Description:
Microsoft Asia Center for Hardware (MACH) is a fast growing team based in Shenzhen, China, in supporting Microsoft Hardware businesses across the company to design, develop and manufacture computer peripherals, Xbox gaming consoles and accessories, and other hardware devices. We have been successfully developing the product development, manufacturing engineering, and factory management capabilities with an integrated cross-functional team. MACH is currently looking for a passionate, self-motivated leader who has passion to lead our leading edge technical innovations and product development that could make great impact to change the way how people interact with PCs.
Responsibilities:
As a key individual contributor from the program management discipline, primary responsibilities will include directing one or several teams of Usability specialists, Industrial Designers, Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software, Design Verification and Reliability Engineers along with Marketing, Planning and Manufacturing to bring a product from concept into mass production.
Specific tasks include roadmap contributions, point-of-view presentations on market and technology directions, product definition, project budget management, risk definition and risk management, schedule development, contract writing, management of external engineering partners, strategy participation, intellectual property management and examining new technologies for possible application to input devices.
Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: Making and driving decisions based on business program needs, insuring the mental health of your team members, leading hardware development team meetings during the product cycle, driving problems to resolution quickly; developing, driving and maintaining a detailed master project schedule with team input and being knowledgeable about competitors
Qualifications:
-Someone with super strong communication and interpersonal skills (you’ll need this to work with distributed teams with various culture), passion to build teams and be a part of the team as an equal individual contributor while being a fearless leader managing without authority
-Strong business sense including understanding of PCHW market landscape, business portfolio management (product roadmap, P&L, feature definition and tradeoff, etc.), contract/ negotiation/ supplier management capability
-Passion to define, pursue and deliver the best products and world class end customer experience, taking into account of business needs and technological opportunities
-MINIMUM 8 years of program manager titled professional experience in consumer electronic products that covers from end-to-end product development, including production definition, design, development, mass production
-MINIMUM BSEE, BSME or equivalent science/engineering degree; MBA is a plus.

　　与本地客户和技术社区保持密切互动在微软全球研发过程中至关重要。鉴于中国市场的重要性，服务器与开发工具事业部中国研发团队通过广泛交流,有组织地参与到本地生态系统和技术社区互动中：一）通过微软技术大会（TechEd）、MSDN和TechNet等微软技术网站与广大的本地开发人员和 IT专业人员交流；二）针对目标群体推出了微软技术先行计划(TAP)，微软最有价值专家(MVP)开放日、贵宾接待等特殊项目理解客户的需求；三）与相关原始设备制造商（OEM）、独立软件开发商（ISV）、系统集成商（SI）等合作伙伴开展深入互动。2010年9月，服务器与开发工具事业部中国研发团队组建了微软中国云计算创新中心（CCIC），全力以赴地支持合作伙伴和客户顺利运用微软Hyper-V和Azure云计算产品和技术。
