Sandvik in Beijing is seeking for a Legal Counsel.

Sandvik is a high-technology, engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading position within selected areas. Worldwide business activities are conducted through representation in more than 130 countries. In 2012 the Group had about 49,000 employees with annual sales of approximately 99,000 MSEK.

The position would directly report to Legal Director, and would be mainly responsible to provide legal support to Sandvik Different Segments in Greater China and East Asia, and if necessary provide legal support for other operational regions of Sandvik. Below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:
· Provide legal advice, corporate maintenance, and deal with other legal issues.
· Review contracts/documents pursuant to the applicable laws, the corporate policies and procedures;
· Develop and maintain robust process to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
· Develop new contract templates when appropriate, regular review and update along with changed legal and business environment;
· Advising internal clients on all aspects of laws and regulations in a view to supporting their business;
· Support negotiation of new investment projects and other business transactions;
· Organize and maintain legal files;
· Research on PRC rules/regulations as it relates to our business;
· Conduct legal training to internal clients upon request;
· Assist HQ IP department in watching infringements, collecting materials.

Your profile:
· Legal education background, B.S. of Law or Master in Law from reputable Chinese university;
· Legal education outside of China is a preference, however, not a necessity
· Around 8 years (at least 5 years) solid experience in top tier PRC law firm, international law firm or MNC；
· Rich experience in handling FDI and FIE legal issues;
· Experience in Projects, bidding law and practice, international trading law, and finance leasing related legal issues would be preferred;
· Knowledge or practice experience in patent law, trade mark protection, and other IPR related area is also a preference.
· English as working language, fluent English language ability (both oral and written);
· Qualified Chinese lawyer;
· Qualification in patent, trade mark, etc. IP law is preferred and admission to other jurisdiction is a preference
· Skillful compute skills;
· Self-motivated and team work spirit, and able to deal with an emergency

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
