Junior System Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for providing daily employee support request including IT technical services, Audio/Video services, voice and meeting support. In addition, this position will be required to help manage and monitor IT asset inventory, new employee equipment setup and monitor servers.


ABOUT THE JOB

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows server/client, Mac, and Linux systems
- Troubleshoot technical problems reported by users.
- Maintain network and system security.
- Voice device, printer support
- Monitor server and network activity to quickly detect any problems related to system security.
- Support LAN and WAN network.
- Prepare VMs/Machine for QA or Engineering Departments.
- Research and implement new tools for system management.
- Maintain internal cloud service


ABOUT YOU

- Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8/7, Mac OSX.
- UNIX/Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu,Mint)
- Previous experience with a combination of: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO, postfix, Bacula, Print Service
- Virtualization: VMware, XenServer, VirtualBox, KVM
- Networking: SSH, Iptables, FTP, NAT, TCP/IP, VOIP, H3C/Cisco protocol
- Mobile Platforms: iOS, Android
- Strong communication skills with a keen sense of user service
- Intimate knowledge of desktop operating environment
- Good desktop/laptop/server assembly skills
- A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Effective network troubleshooting skills
- Ability to explain technical subject matter clearly and accurately
- 1-3 years experience in providing IT/Desktop/Helpdesk support
