Polycom is an industry leader on unified communications and has world-class R&D center in Beijing. The Beijing center plays a critical role inside Polycom and has full ownership of key products. Right now, we are extending the team that develops the video management application servers. The video management application enables the Polycom Unified Communications Intelligent Core and leverage customer’s existing infrastructure & investment, which will improve user experiences with Lower operations and administration costs.

We are seeking exceptional engineers to join our development team. The ideal candidate must be passionate about building high quality, high performance and high availability system with high scalability. The right candidate is a highly motivated individual who is able to work in self-motivated teams that can take a product from conception through delivery.

Responsibilities:
? Work with software development team to build a flexible/portable/stable software architecture for video conferencing software
? Participate and review the architecture design and improvement
? Work with product management team closely and understand their requirement very clearly, and help product manager to understand the technical details for their requirements
? Work with software manager and QA manager to estimate scope, effort and plan to deliver the features
? Think deeply for the product features and product roadmaps
? Write product specification, software architecture document and other product and customer document

Requirements:
? Bachelor or above Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
? 10+ years software development in a commercial environment
? 3+ years software architecture experience for a large scale product or a solution
? The ability to work both in architectural level but to be able to dive deep into technical details if necessary
? Rich experience in multi-media or network applications
? Experience with a wide range of technologies from embedded, desktop to mobile
? Cross-platform experience is highly desired
? Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills to be able to work with a wide range of audiences, including product managers, customers, sales, software/QA manager and development team and program manager. Must be able to communicate at different levels of technical details to understand requirements and to explain implementation complexities
? Excellent soft skills to be able to collaborate and influence the teams
? A solid understanding of business to be able to validate customer needs and to create the right solutions
? Strong English communication skills for both verbal and written English
? Team work ability and spirit is a must
