Working for the Manufacturing Engineering department this role is an Industrial Engineer position with focus on mechanical product, assembly and inspection. Industrial Engineers are required to design, set up and maintain the production process, tools and jigs, this is for both in house production and to support third party supplier production as required.
The role requires working with suppliers, designers, other Elekta Factories, as required to:-
§ Support the production process and resolve technical issues with the product and/or jigs and tooling, establish root cause and implement preventative actions via normal processes.
§ Attend meetings and represent the industrial engineering department
§ Assist in production reliability and process mapping to continually improve and optimize production efficiency.
Design and implement tools, jigs and fixtures for the production process.

“Responsibilities and HIRING Requirements

· Provide technical support to the production process and department to resolve manufacturing engineering related issues for released hardware, including authorization of Non Conformance Reports and amendments to production documents.
· Design and Documentation of the production manufacturing process including:-
· Specification of tools, jigs and fixtures, in terms of Design, Manufacture and validation, and providing cost justification for them.
· Specification of Work Instruction (WIs)
· Develop and maintain safe working practices, particularly with material handling, safe assembly process, hazardous substances and electrical safety.
· Definition of production times and administration of Route Cards.
· Definition of factory layouts and special environmental conditions for the manufacturing process.
· General production process efficiency:-
· Identify and carry out manufacturing process improvements to improve efficiency, quality and cost savings through Value Stream Mapping and other tools.
· Support projects to transfer production from one facility to another (example: Elekta to Elekta, Elekta to Supplier and Supplier to Elekta)
· To define and promote good workman ship standards.
· Participate in Engineering Change and Product Creation processes
· Updates to production process, WI, Tools, Jigs.
· Carry out Process Validation (to include special processes) as a result of design change or process improvements.
· Participate in the Product Creation process to provide manufacturability, develop manufacturing process, set up tools, jigs and carry out process validation.

Authorities 职权
· Raise Purchase Requisition for test equipment/tools.
· Authorization of production document changes for Advance Action in production, including production permits.
Authorization of Non Conformance Reports when the documented process cannot be followed.

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competEncies
· Mechanics related degree from university plus minimum 2 years experience of working in a mechanical production/assembly environment.
· Working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing process, experience or knowledge in the following areas is desirable: machining, welding, plating/coating, forging, mouldings etc...
· Working knowledge with the ability to implement and advice on workmanship standards for both in house and third party production.
· Ability to use CAD tools such as Solid Works, Solid Edge.
· Ability to work both unsupervised under own initiative and within teams.
· Excellent organizational, team work and communication skills with a strong and positive influencing style.
· Strong English skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Able to communicate with all levels within a multi-disciplinary international company.
· Ability to organize and chair meetings
· Willingness to learn and develop to maintain current manufacturing knowledge and techniques.
· Familiarity with the performance and safety standards of radiotherapy equipment is desired but not essential.
· Work experience within wholly international or Joint venture Company working with technically complex, high cost capital equipment, is desired but not essential.
Able to travel to visit supplier and other Elekta factories if required.
