Job title: Demand Planning Mgr
Location: Shanghai
Reporting line: China Planning and Logistic Director
General Summary:
The Demand Planner will drive the China business end to end Demand Planning process
The right candidate will be instrumental in driving the organization toward delivering:
· Improve China demand planning process, incorporate China demand planning into monthly global S&OP cycle.
· improve forecast accuracy by delivering a consensus demand plan built on solid historical trend analysis, enriched with market input and rationalized by Finance and Supply Chain
· improved new product launch execution by implementing product launch process and incorporating insights in demand plan
· improve customer service by implementing demand pull strategy.
· Support global inventory manager to maintain reasonable inventory level in China to maximize customer service level and cash flow performance.
Responsibilities:
· First hand accountability for leading the monthly demand plan process and annual operating plan for China business.
ü Develop Demand Plan at 8 different levels derives by HH forecast.
ü Develop historical trend forecasts from HH (household), player registration to SKU level.
ü Meet monthly with sales/mkt managers to get sales event and marketing intelligence and input to demand planning process,
ü Drive channel demand information from sales organization.
ü Develop channel inventory mgt process and incorporate channel inventory into monthly S&OP.
ü Align the demand planning figures with China sales/mkt and finance team.
ü Take the lead in steering monthly China demand lockdown call with Global Planning team and China mgt team.
ü Forecast accuracy measurement and improvement.
ü Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method and approach.
· China end to end Inventory Management
ü Inventory owner for China sales organization. Follow global guideline to determine inventory level for China and keep it under good control.
ü Develop channel inventory mgt process and tool to monitor channel inventory level, embed channel inventory data into our demand & supply planning process.
ü Assist sales mgrs to make good use of channel inventory data for sales activity and allocation mgt when required.
· Act as the champion to drive fulfillment processes by working closely with internal counterparts (sales team, global planning team, manufacturing operation team) and external business partners (distributors, contract manufacturer and logistic service provider)
ü Timely deploy customer orders throughout the entire supply chain organization and ensure high service level in terms of on time delivery.
ü Allocation/priority management when required.
ü Liaise with with manufacturing operation team to ensure demand pull is properly done at the right time and right place to ensure on time delivery.
ü Manage 3PL to ensure import and inbound logistic process is done on time.
· Act as project Leader for the future deployment of forecasting tool across the organization.
· Act as project leader to implement demand pull strategy.
· Drive continuous improvement in the Demand Planning and Inventory Planning function
· Other tasks appointed by his/her direct manager.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in supply chain management related.
· Minimum 5 years work experience in Planning/Forecasting (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience leading / managing Demand Plan (forecast and S&OP)
· Microsoft Office and Database management skills required (Excel Pivot Table, macro, Access is prefered),
· Strong analytical, Demonstrated critical thinking. Excellent problem solving skills Knowledge in Statistical forecast modeling is a strong plus,
· Customer focused and financially savvy,
· Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and be able to respond quickly to changing priorities,
· Excellent people skills and able to influence and interact effectively with people at all levels of
the organization internally and externally.
· Energetic and self-motivated to make things happen and work under pressure.
· Team player. Ability to influence and achieve consensus,
· Ability to operate in diverse cultural settings,
· Detail oriented with accuracy.
· Fluent English is must.
