Essential Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GE Energy & China supplier base.
• Be the technical focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of Power Generation components.
• Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.
• Work closely with various divisions of GE Energy to conduct First Piece Qualification (FPQ), Quality Surveillance, and Fulfillment management.
• Aid in supplier approval process – manufacturing, technology, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis.
• Track and work on Request For Quotation (RFQ’s) and new business opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Six Sigma.
• Work closely with GE Energy Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may effect quality and delivery requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
• BS/MS Fabrication/Mechanical/Power Engineering Degree.
• Hands-on experience in supplier development experience, experience in quality or supplier technical development in the equipment/component of Power Plant is preferred.
• Familiar with the welding, machining ,assembly operations and NDT .
• The working experience in power generation equipment (steam turbine, piping ,pressure vessel ,boiler and hydraulic/fluid assemblies) from the state owned business is highly valued.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills: background in interpretation of blueprints/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation.
• Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment.
• Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to quality, fluent in oral and written in English, willing to take frequent travel.
