JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver both traditional classroom training and hands on systems training, focused on technical (job-specific) content for participants. Facilitate virtual training sessions with other locations as needed.
2. Conduct training needs analysis primarily through consultation with the management team of the business line, but also using surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and or consultation with subject-matter experts.
3. Develop participant training materials for ongoing advanced technical training and for system enhancements/implementations.
4. Cross-train with other training and/or business unit staff to teach/learn training program material
5. Assist in the development and presentation of advanced technical training programs
6. Continually monitor/update training program materials to reflect the actual operations environment. Work with other departments to identify and implement enhancements to training that better reflect the current operations environment and industry practices
7. Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
8. Liaise with subject-matter experts in the business lines who deliver advanced technical training; support development of training materials, and evaluate materials prepared by instructors. Coach and evaluate subject-matter expert instructors on their training delivery.
9. Attend staff development workshops/seminars to enhance presentation skills, supervisory skills and industry knowledge
10. Travel to other locations, primarily in North America, as required periodically for the purposes of cross training and/or delivering training as business priorities dictate. Percentage of travel time 0-10%.
11. Adapt to autonomous work. Attend weekly conference call with Boston out of working hours.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Bachelor’s degree with business, accounting, technology or education major preferred.
2. 3+ years experience in the Financial Services Industry. Solid technical understanding of the industry is required, and intimate knowledge of State Street/AIS systems, processes and procedures is preferred.
3. Ability to teach technical information to employees of all experience levels.
4. Ability to manage medium sized training development projects (20 – 200 hours).
5. Ability to work effectively with personnel from other departments on training projects and various committees.
6. Ability to properly balance the quality of project deliverables with budget and time constraints. Ability to work as part of a virtual training team spanning several locations/countries, sharing best practices.
7. Ability to research, understand and apply information sourced from within AIS, State Street and or external sources to ensure that the materials developed are aligned with the Training Department’s and industry’s best practices standards.
8. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
