Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for technically leading a Connectivity project by developing requirements, defining architectures, performing tradeoffs and providing analysis that meets the customer needs. This includes but is not limited to: embedded cell phones, WiFi, Bluetooth, air cards, smart phones, Java Virtual Machines, and back haul services (service providers).
2. Bring a technical team together, make tradeoffs, resolve issues and achieve a technical solution that meets the customer requirements.
3. Must be able to effective communicate and document the resulting design and design changes. Serve as the technical customer interface for assigned program(s).
4. In the business development phase of a program, support the sales organization as part of proposal activity by analyzing customer RFQ specifications and developing a Configuration of Response.
5. Analyzing the specifications to identify a list of undefined or under defined features that may require additional customer clarification or exceptions taken prior to quotation and understand the product Bill of Material costs.
6. Define and develop customer/end-user requirements. Develop technical functional/performance specifications based on customer specifications and internal documents to clearly and concisely capture what is required of the product. Where specifications do not exist, work with the customer, engineers and suppliers to define the requirements. Organize all product specifications in a manner that allows for simplified requirements topic searching (e.g. WIKI Page).
7. Manage customer requirements. Track customer specifications, and versions to ensure proper product definition and resolve issues. Interface with both the customer and Product Engineering teams to coordinate a successful resolution of issues. Document and maintain product requirement exceptions. Identify risk level associated with new feature development based on requirements status.
8. Participate in internal and customer driven design reviews throughout program. Aware of all Federal Standards, industry standards and internal standards and assure that the resulting design will satisfy these requirements. Understands the software architecture and able to explain this to customers. Leads the development team in finding root cause of failures and generates a 7D or A3 failure analysis.
9. Product DFMEA, Schematic Reviews, Warranty, Diagnostics, DVP&R, User's Manual, Technical Service Bulletins, Appearance Approvals and PSO follow up. Lead the software/hardware/mechanical developers at the unit and system level to insure that all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved.

Qualifications:
1. BSEE / BSCS / (or equivalent); MSEE / MSCS preferred
2. Able to provide detailed reviews on complex/technical specifications. Broad Technical Background with general knowledge of Bluetooth, WiFi, GSM/CDMA technology, smart phones, Navigation, GPS, Satellite Radio, video, Voice
3. Know TS16949 system and related quality tool(PPAP,APQP,MSA,SPC,FMEA)
4. Recognition, Hands-Free operation and automotive environmental requirements. Strong automotive background with working knowledge of vehicle networking protocols. Practical experience in related areas such as system design, hardware/software design and real time embedded applications
5. 10+ years Systems Engineering background or Equivalent
6. Automotive or cellular industry experience preferred
