职位描述

Job Purpose:
This position acts as the Company representative and understands all aspects of ground handling including both customer service and ramp. Responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks most of which are associated with aircraft ground handling or the support of a flight. This position is responsible for working with a variety of government agents, vendors, customers and other cross-functional employees. This position is responsible for making sure that all services of ground handling are provided in a manner consistent with standard operating procedures and compliance standards. This position can perform all the duties of Lead Ramp Agent and Sr. Customer Service Agent.


Responsibilities and Associated Duties:
? Demonstrates excellent customer service even under stressful circumstances
? Understands all Customs / Immigration requirements
? Understands all aspects of entry requirements.
? Has demonstrated all aspects of catering, lavatory service, refueling, transportation and hotel accommodation.
? Understands all requirements associated with Aircraft arrival and departure paperwork
? Can provide full aircraft ground handling service
? Demonstrate appropriate discretion and informal leadership abilities. Sets a good example for other team members.
? Can perform essentially any other duty that may reasonably be requested by the company or a client.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements
? College or equivalent required
? Experience in both ramp operations and customer service is preferred
? Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) at a basic level
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills
? Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
? Significant internal and external customer service skills required
? Able to communicate effectively in high stress environments
? Exhibit strong positive teamwork attributes; loyalty to the Company and to fellow employees, must have a professional demeanor and appearance, strong work ethic, and willingness to embrace change.
? Must be willing to work outside during inclement weather
? Able to work flexible hours, including night shift duty
? Willing to travel frequently
? Living or willing to move at the airport

In 1959, Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. founder Tom Evans was providing something that no one else in the world had thought of before. He was creating weather forecasts not for commercial aviation, but for business aviation as a time-saving convenience. Tom Evans realized that business aviation operators were not getting what they needed on the ground, which was top-tier ground support. Unfortunately, in those early days, handling services were only provided by airline staff more focused on the airline than the business aviation operator. Thus, in the mid-’70s, we opened our first ground handling services in Mexico and Spain – a natural extension to the weather and coordination support we were already providing to our clients at the time.

Originally, it was a simple matter of providing people on the ground to greet and service aircraft. But, with time, more and more companies began using us for more than ground handling. This increased traffic created a need for us to build actual physical facilities for ground handling and maintenance.

Over the years, we continued to open more locations, and, in doing so, a model gradually developed for worldwide quality and consistency, including staffing all our locations with trained, uniformed, English-speaking agents.

Then, in the late 1990s, we organized the various Universal? ground handling offices into a global network. Now, clients could plan their missions worldwide, not just location to location. Whether they were negotiating a deal, attending a business meeting, transporting a human organ or any other vital mission, there was no need to risk success on the capabilities of a third party. By partnering with Universal Aviation, they had control on the ground.
