职位描述
Job Description:
Understanding product functionality, data content, and system architecture of the product being tested.
Understanding the customer and how the product will be used by that customer.
Designing and writing test plans and manual test cases for a wide variety of tests including functional, performance, regression, and operational resiliency. May be asked to do some data quality testing.
Executing defined testing scope within an established testing window.
Tracking and managing defects.
Reporting on testing status and results.
Understanding new technology and testing methods and being able to integrate those to benefit the team and our projects.
Qualification
3+ years of proven experience testing commercial software relates to financial markets and or the financial information industry.
Strong knowledge and experience applying QA best practices, techniques and tools.
Experience in writing test plans, test cases and test matrixes.
Strong attention to the level of detail required in test cases and defect reports
Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for software development life cycle.
Ability to work with and analyze business requirements.
Identify, analyze and document defects or inconsistencies in application functionality, user interface, output and performance.
Must be a strong team player as well as an individual contributor.
Familiarity with databases particularly Sybase and Oracle. Ability to understand schemas and write basic queries using SQL.
Experience handling testing process through HP Quality Centre.
BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
Desired skills
2-3 years of C# development experience.
Knowledge and experience in relational databases (Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle) & writing SQL statements.
Proficiency in testing Web applications with comprehensive knowledge of networking (HTTP, JavaScript).
Financial Market and/or Financial Information Industry experience is a plus.
Strong analytical skills including problem solving, planning, and reporting ability.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language are mandatory.
Basic understanding of databases, automated tools, scripting or programming.
Experience working in a global team environment.
Desire to share information and train others is essential.
Honest, open, passionate, positive “can-do” attitude, self-sufficient.
Ability to rapidly absorb new concepts – either technological, or industry related.
Ability to establish external/internal resources to aid the team in reaching its goals.
