INTRODUCTION

RealPlayer is an industry-leading multimedia PC application downloaded and installed on millions of PCs around the world. RealPlayer Plus is the premium version of this product, supporting advanced features and functionality that customers love to use. RealPlayer is one of the top three media applications in use on Windows PCs, but sees a lot of competition from established players and upstart competitors alike.

GENERAL SUMMARY/PURPOSE

RealNetworks is seeking an energetic and highly experienced STE to contribute the development of an automated testing infrastructure related to RealPlayer, one of the world's most downloaded and used desktop PC media applications. In this capacity, the STE will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of RealPlayer and related products on a global scale.

Qualifications include:
? 5+ years’ experience in Windows software testing, has strong passion for quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
? Experienced in test processes of agile development lifecycle, including test planning, test design, test reporting, report analysis, etc.
? Capable for acting leading other team member to results, for both project and QA activities
? Strong problem solving ability
? Good team player
? Experience in generating comprehensive test report documents is highly desirable
? Experience with testing multi-media application is highly desirable
? Experience with creating test environment for different Windows is highly desirable
? Knowledge about Windows application installation/update process is highly desirable
? Must have strong problem solving ability, and a desire to deliver cutting edge technology in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
? Must have good English read/written communication skills. Able to verbally communicate with foreign team members
? Experienced in working in multi-national teams is highly desirable
? Knowledge about audio/video/image technologies is desirable
? Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions: % of Time
1. Creating/maintaining test cases documents based on PRD 20%
2. Performing QA tasks and generating test reports 65%
3. Interacting with PGM and SDEs for bugs resolutions 10%
4. Participation in continuous process improvement 5%

Non-Essential Functions:
? Collaboration with Program Mgmt in delivering progress reports
? Technical Due diligence related to new features and functionality

- Consumer satisfaction with RealPlayer and other products
