Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Reports to: Director, GSO China

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Draft contracts, record transaction data, oversee proper labeling, oversee payments, review billing invoice and loading reports

· Develop logistics / operational relationship with suppliers

· Interact with suppliers to track shipments and follow-up to ensure ETDs are met

· Assess suppliers’ logistics services and logistics service providers to complete regular performance reviews

· Follow-up with non-conformant shipments and determine short-term resolutions and long-term, preventative solutions

· Coordinate credit memos

? Coordinate samples for various Brenntag regional offices with suppliers

· Oversee completion and accuracy of shipping documents

Job Requirements:

· Strong work ethic

· Solution oriented

· Import/export operational experience

· Possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines

· Ability to quickly identify a problem, analyze facts and processes, and determine an effective solution

· Ability to work across disciplines (Sourcing, Procurement, logistics, Customer Service, Finance)

· Ability to read, write and speak the English language

· Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills – diplomatic yet persuasive

· Possess a high level of skill with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

· Experience with Asian culture

· Knowledge of U.S. Import Regulations, including ISF program

· Understanding of freight claim procedures

· Ability to apply best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
