Key Objectives:

• In-Car infotainment and entertainment is an important part of today's automobiles. Join BMW R&D China and work in the Connected Drive business area.

• The position is located in the Beijing R&D center. You are overall responsible for all telemetric services of BMW in mainland China in the engineering department.

Major Responsibilities:

• Technical operation support for all Connected Drive services for China mainland.

• Acting as local function owner for all Connected Drive services in China mainland.

• Ensure of the roll-out of the new telemetric hardware and new features for China mainland.

• Responsible for the development of the new Connected Drive services together with local suppliers.

• Execution of test cases including road tests, recording of errors and results in reports and error reporting systems.

• Updating HW and SW of test setups and ECUs.

• Performing regular tests of the electric vehicle systems, resulting in error reports and feedback for the developer. Confirmation of bug fixes and feature improvements.

• Support of internal and external partners.

Education / Degree:

• Engineering degree (master or bachelor with international studies) in automotive / electrical / computer / communications engineering or similar.

Knowledge / Skills / Competences:

• Basic knowledge about infotainment systems in a vehicle.

• Basic programming skills.

• Understanding of automotive telecommunication.

• Excellent language skills in Chinese and English (written and oral); German language skills are highly appreciated.

• Valid driver’s license which is at least 2 years old and very good driving capabilities resulting from regular car usage.

• Strong affinity for electric and electronics, telecommunication.

• Good understanding of consumer electronics market and internet technology.

Experience:

• At least 3 years working experience in the area of the vehicle validation or telecommunication.
