Job Description: This is a commissioned sales position. Responsible for evangelizing and winning the enterprise and client architecture decisions in focused accounts by offering unified, cohesive solutions based on Intel and its fellow travelers' products and services. Builds relationships with key account executives, understand customer business problems, and helps them solve their problems through the use of Intel-based solutions to the usage of Intel based products/services to build business capabilities and position Intel as the thought leader in solving challenging business problems. Engages technical decision makers, industry influencers, policy makers, and business leaders of existing and potential customers to drive awareness and early adoption of new Intel technologies, platforms and products. Creates excitement and demonstrates the value of the new technology in solving customer problems by focusing on one-on-one interaction with key decision makers, one-to-many influencing through blogging, conferences, and presentations; and collaborative project work on first reference cases. Collaborates with technical, academic, government, and/or partner audiences to address design challenges.
Job overview: As a Channel Account Manager (CAM), you are responsible for sales with certain customers within a specified territory. You are responsible for developing Intels business (sale of Intel products) with
City and provincial resellers which range from LOEM, MNC, mall and broad channel resellers/retailers as well as retail program execution across all retail fronts, for example, MNC, LOEM, COEM, and DIY.
Job relationship and role: You are part of a regional `sell out team which is led by a regional sales manager. You report to the district sales manager. You are responsible for maintaining good relationships and effective communication with others on your regional team as well as with others in the central sales and marketing teams. This position is an individual contributor role.
Job duties and tasks performed:
1. The CAM is responsible for developing and maintaining the Intel business and sales relationship with their assigned customers.
2. As a sales employee, the employee is compensated on commission. The commission plan is based upon achieving pr exceeding quantitative business objectives and assigned quotas. Objectives may include volume, revenue, MSS and/or product mix of the customers they call on as well as performance objectives defined by management.
3. The CAM is responsible for managing existing customers as well as developing new customers.
4. The CAM is responsible for executing sales and retail programs with assigned customers as well as providing input to the sales and retail program office regarding development of new programs. This includes helping to prioritize overall Intel sales and marketing regional investments for sales and marketing initiatives.
5. The CAM is responsible for providing input to other Intel team members regarding requirements for business and/or marketing programs which will help drive Intel product demand and build the Intel brand.
6. The CAM will work closely with Intel distributors and Intel customers in their territory to ensure product availability. Additionally, the CAM will assist in moving Intel product into the mall and into other channels (e.g. iCafe).
7. The CAM will work to ensure that customers technical and commercial issues are identified, communicated to the appropriate parties and promptly addressed.
8. The CAM will track market trends which may impact sales and their customers and define actions to address the trends.
9. The CAM is responsible for understanding Intel business practices including pricing, forecasting, vendor practices, terms and conditions, distribution, sales practices and code of ethics.
