Job description
The Web Optimization Specialist aligns with the new M&C Web Optimization discipline, and fully contributes to Marketing Transformation
The Web Optimization Specialist is aligned by role against one of the following roles: Language Specialist, Audit Specialist, Asset Specialist, Campaign/RLM Specialist, Performance Specialist and Social Optimization Specialist
He is accountable for the performance of the area he is optimizing, in terms of financial metrics and end-to-end effectiveness
He works in team with the specialists in the other areas in order to deliver best results to the business

The Language Optimization Specialist is aligned by language. He deploys the standard Web architecture for the different countries in the world outside NA. He validates, publishes and quality checks the content. He optimizes the sites for Demand Generation.
The Audit Specialist is responsible for one sub-brand or category. He performs analytics to identify weaknesses for his particular area, builds action plans, and works with the language specialist, asset specialist or RLM specialists to optimize the area.
The Asset Specialist is the expert of the assets for a specific brand or category. He loads the offers into UMO tool. He performs performance analysis of the offers, and recommends offers to the language specialists in order to drive more revenue.
The Campaign/RLM Specialist is responsible for the end-end success of a particular campaign, and for organic business. He checks response flow across the complete process, identifies MAT issues or LDR issues, corrects the problems in Unica, and works with countries to improve the campaign performance.
The performance Specialist is an expert in Web metrics. He delivers reports and support to the different Web Optimization areas to support their needs. He delivers monthly Web Optimization scorecards to measure performance of Web Optimization and provide status to the stakeholders.

The role requires a deep understanding of web demand generation, familiarity with IBM marketing systems, and awareness of IBM web operations. This includes but is not limited the following: web content strategy; principles of web user experience design; effective response capture; paid media tactics; search engine optimization; response and lead management; and Unica modules. The role also requires a facility with web and marketing analytics.

The role is strongly focused on business focus and ability to demonstrate achievements.
It requires understanding of market challenges as well as familiarity with countries. It requires ability to work in matricial environment, with WW and country counterparts.
