Reporting directly to Point Grey Research® Inc.’s head office, the Buyer, China will work as part of the Purchasing team out of our office in Beijing, China. This is a dynamic position requiring flexibility and ability to manage different priorities. Point Grey Innovation Technology (Beijing) Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Point Grey Research Inc., and has an office in Beijing.

General Duties and Tasks
- Purchase materials as assigned
- Interact with vendors and process necessary documentation to complete the purchasing transaction
- Coordinate international and regional shipments to and from stocking locations
- Process weekly expedite reports, update MRP accordingly. Follow-up, as necessary, to expedite overdue orders
or those showing possible critical delays
- Ensure accuracy of data in MRP, data entry as required
- Help communicate quality issues and request/manage RMA’s
- Submit quote requests and analyze results
- Other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications

Required
- Minimum 2 years of electronics purchasing experience in the Asian market
- Understanding of supply chain management and inventory control
- Knowledge of MRP concepts and experience using MRP/ERP systems
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Highly organized individual with attention to detail and process improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people professionally
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work as part of a team

Preferred
- College or University graduate
- Basic command of spoken and written English
- Knowledge of SAP
