Our client is Multinational Company with a large and fast growing China/Global set-up. This among others includes a 500+ people office operation team managing production, sourcing and trading of textile/garment products for various global fashion brands. The company has own factories in China/Asia and overseas offices in Europe and America.
We are looking for a GM with experience from textile-garment-apparel operations in China/Asia. The GM will be member of the global Executive management team. As a Leader, you can further development and structure the business in the coming years, and handle a P&L responsibility.
Job profile:
? As GM of China/Asia Operations, you will lead a 500+ people office team
? Overall responsibility for textile/garment trading and production in China.
(For the right candidate, responsibility for our production in other countries can be included)
? Able to contribute strategically and carry out action plans with and through your direct reports
? Ensure our position as the preferred supplier to key global clients,
? Continuous development of your team/direct reports to manage existing and new suppliers (100+ suppliers today in Asia and EU)
? If responsible for the factories, ensure optimal use of the production equipment and a constant focus on productivity, deliveries and quality
? Ensure the best staff possible within the organization
? Initiator and able to work in a very diverse cultural organization with many nationalities
? A challenging and demanding position where you have influence on the exact overall responsibilities of the role.
? Close and developing collaboration with the shareholders and CEO.
? Travel activity, primarily in China/Asia.
Profile we are looking for:
? 15+ Years management/leadership experience, including experience from international textile/garment/apparel role.
? University degree – or other relevant educational background
? A good knowledge of finance and accounts is a big plus
? Solid knowledge of China and managing operation in China.
? By virtue of engagement, motivation and responsibility be a natural leader able to create confidence
? Analytical, persevering, result-oriented and understanding that good results depend on both the process and the employees
? A strong personality able to be both a team player and leading the way
? Fluent in English – mandarin language skills a plus, but not a must
