Title: Test Manager – Automotive Software

The software we are working on is highly relevant as it becomes part of the driver experience and it enables new exciting features, such as AppLink for Ford’s SYNC technology.
The Test Manager will work as part of a global team to perform local test activities pertaining to software projects primarily in the areas of infotainment and multimedia systems. The ideal candidate will manage and organize the local testing activities and is responsible for creating and implementing test processes and specifications to provide EB with an effective test solution. This is a full time position combining the dynamics of a small company environment.

Responsibilities:
? Controlling and tracking of 3rd party vendors (> 25 FTE)
? Planning, setup and running HW test lab in Beijing
? Provide detail level test estimates.
? Assists in creating high level test strategy.
? Coordinates team level assignments.
? Maintains daily status of testing.
? Creates and oversees execution of test specifications
? Facilitates Peer Reviews on team deliverables.
? Review team bug reports.
? Work with the global project test manager, project management, and engineering teams to identify and resolve issues
? Ability to understand software requirements and software architectures
? Successfully coordinate various teams distributed on different time zones

Required Skills:
? Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
? 1-3 years’ in test leadership role.
? 3-6 years’ experience testing software applications
? Exceptional English written and oral communication skills
? Proven experience to work well in a global team setup
? Proven ability to organize, track and control 3rd party vendors on a technical and commercial level.
? Previous test experience with real-time or embedded applications, preferably in the automotive domain
? Exposure to Linux, Windows CE, Windows Embedded for Automotive
? Ability to show proficiency with the Microsoft’s office tools.
? Detail oriented and ability to follow through on tasks
? Demonstrated experience with languages: C++, Java, Perl, Python, Windows and Unix shell scripts

Preferred Skills:
? MSCS or equivalent
? Additional experience in scripting language
