Essential Functions:
? Strong engineering background in refrigeration industry.
? Proven Experience in providing engineering leadership for refrigerators design & Development.
? Proven Experience in handling Engineering team of 10+ people to execute new projects & platform changes.
? Providing leadership in achieving cost & Quality targets. Need self starter & initiatives to achieve cost reduction ideas using proven Cost optimization tools used in industry.
? Ownership on Concept to development & execution of new designs at right cost, Quality & Time.
? Experience in advanced Product approval testing for Refrigerators. Strong Home appliance knowledge in Plan, co-ordinate to execute performance / safety / Reliability tests on products, subsystems, and components to evaluate and approve new product designs;
? Work closely with Global Consumer design and marketing on product innovation and new design of product features (structure).
? Need sound background in working & handling OEM/Supplier base for finished products development.
? Driving strong coordination for defining & developing products, cost/Quality road maps for Whirlpool regions(Europe, India, China & Australia)
? Product/platform evaluation, and identify technical abnormalities, ensure that problems are identified and eliminated as early as possible in development programs, Summarize and provide direction.
? Work daily with PA and Design Engineers for details and progress communication on product approval;
? Participate in creating, reviewing, and upgrading cost and quality of existing products based on data from the field;
? Participation in meetings and exchange of information through written and verbal communications means are required.

Professional Skills and Experience:-
? Bachelor degree in majors related with Mechanical Engineering ( Masters degree preferred)
? PMP Certification is highly preffered.
? Good knowledge on Six Sigma (FMEA, SPC, MSE, COV, DOE, etc.) is preferred;
? 10+ years working experience (min), with proven records of min. 5-7 yrs on design & development & min. 5 yrs experience in leadership role in home appliance industry is required.
? Master/experienced with different drawing software, like Auto-CAD, Pro/E, UG, etc. Min.2 years of experience in 2D Drawing creation,
? Familiar with tooling design and development, manufacturing process((Injection, extrusion, stamping, die casting, etc.) and surface treatment process(anodizing, powder coating, electroplating, etc. ) is essential;
? Good knowledge on GB, EMI/EMC, IEC, UL, and related home appliance industry standards;
? Good ability of reading and writing in English. Fluent English speaking is must.
? Good team work and demonstrate the capabilities to coordinate the work in different organization and culture.
? Self-motivated, flexible, hard worker, a team player. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
