Software Developer - Web-Applications (Java/JavaScript)

(Based in Beijing, R&D Dept – ESB Team / Application Integration, Talend China)

Job description:

• As part of the Application Integration R&D team within Talend, the Software Developer - Web-Applications (Java/JavaScript) will be responsible for developing of new web based UI's and Applications for our Talend Enterprise Service Bus and additional Application Integration Products (incl. Cloud based offerings) based on the Apache CXF, Karaf, Camel and ActiveMQ open source projects. Within this position the development will mainly be focused on Web UI development based on HTML/JavaScript and GWT which provides an environment to work with up to date technologies and standards, incl. modern cloud based deployment environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation of new product features, with focus on Web-UI Development (JavaScript and GWT) within the Enterprise Service Bus and additional Application Integration solutions
• Unit and integration testing
• Maintenance of existing Web-UI/Web-Applications product components

Skills:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience with Java development with a minimum of 1 year in JavaScript/HTML based Web-Application development (e.g. AngularJS)
• Ideally but optional also practical experience with GWT based Web-Application development
• Good understanding of the HTTP Protocol and RESTful Services.
• Good understanding of CSS, JSON, XML and XML Schema
• Experience/Interest to work in agile development team / agile process, using the Scrum methodology.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English
• Ability to work within a distributed international team environment.

Optional, but desirable

• Experience in development of application integration/SOA middleware
• Experience with cloud technologies (like AWS, OpenStack or others)
