Job Purpose：

As experienced purchaser in the field of mechanical and electronical parts he/she can make a clear judgment on level of suppliers we need for sourcing our medical and graphical products. Since he/she is familiar with the medical industry the high requirements related to documentation, quality standards are not a surprise.

He/she will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers who fit our needs in the mechanical area and preferable also in the electronical area. He/she will support the quality engineer and production in having a sustainable quality level at all times at the new selected suppliers.


Principal Accountabilities:

Scouting and sourcing of potential suppliers for parts and submodules acc. the Agfa standards
Responsible for the sourcing for production in Wuxi and the LCC sourcing in China/Asia for Global within the assigned categories including Mechanics(machining/casting/sheet metal/ and other none electronics may assigned by the manager as business needed).
Responsible for continuous improvement of the purchase processes
Drive and follow up the KPIs including but not limited to supplier QDC to achieve the budget targets
Deploy and implement the Sourcing Policy and Strategies with key stakeholders for the assigned categories in alignment with regional and global sourcing.
Develop the Chinese Supplier Base including the data base and contract set up, as well as the supplier performance management/optimization.
Responsible for all communication between suppliers and the key stakeholders within Agfa including R&D- Production:
Provide all necessary documents in order to comply with Agfa standards and FDA standards
Communication with supplier related to quality issues, and design changes. He/she is the Chinese supplier contact window towards the rest of the Agfa organization.
Participate in developing sourcing targets concerning. Collect and prepare the budget information for the China sourced components or products.
Other tasks or projects assigned by the manager or management team as business needs.

As part of the newly setting up purchasing organization in China providing the purchasing support to both China production and Global LCC in China/Or Asia, He/she would also be assigned to other tasks or project as needed, including but not limited to the None Production Related Purchasing, Supplier Performance Management, Purchasing Process Implementation and Optimization

Job requirments

Academic / Professional Qualification: Electro or Mechanical engineering degree
Working Experience: 5-10 years experience in similar business setup in purchasing.
Language Ability: Good English level
Other Skill & Knowledge: Ability to identify best practice
Integrity and commitment
Well organized
Immune to stress situations and problem solver
