KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the China advanced safety rulemaking process:
- Analyze regulatory/public domain proposals
- With internal stakeholders (e.g., Product Development), assess impact of proposed regulations
- With external stakeholders (e.g. Industry Associations), assess industry position relative to regulatory proposal
- Develop and implement regulatory response and regulatory agency engagement strategy to shape final regulation
· Manage vehicle safety non-governmental agency relationships (e.g. Vehicle Rating Associations) and related public domain ratings criteria changes
· Support development and implementation of global vehicle safety strategies tailored to meet unique regional requirements
· Support vehicle safety communications for APA

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be self-directed, have ability to work independently and be able to identify and suggest strategic and process opportunities to the Global Automotive Safety Team and the APA Advanced Regulatory Development Manager as well as take specific assignments
· Must be able to manage and motivate a virtual team to deliver on assignments/objectives
· Ability to manage multiple, complex assignments simultaneously
· Ability to work under tight deadlines
· Experience/familiarity with SE&SE business processes, e.g. including regulatory development and communication, homologation & compliance and concern resolution
· Strong communication skills - ability to communicate concisely and succinctly
· Excellent organizational skills
· Demonstrated capability in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
· Attention to detail a plus
