Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) and Norway based EPC Contractor Kvaerner is setting up a Joint Venture engineering company called Kvaerner COOEC Engineering and Technology (KCET) in Qingdao/Huangdao. Responsibilities and tasks

HVAC is organised in the Mechanical department. It includes providing HVAC design solutions for offshore installations. The main tasks include design, and procurement of HVAC equipment, P&IDs, HVAC calculation work, secondly it need to assist mechanical Equipment Procurement etc.

Typical areas of responsibility for this position are:

· Perform HVAC calculation as necessary to support HVAC design

· Prepare HVAC design including preparation of flow diagrams and P&IDs

· Give input to or perform necessary modelling work for HVAC in PDMS 3D model

· Establish technical input to HVAC Equipment Procurement (specifications, datasheets, requisitions)

· Establish technical input to Mechanical Equipment Procurement (specifications, datasheets, requisitions)

· Perform bid evaluations and supplier selection for HVAC and Mechanical

· Review and follow up HVAC and Mechanical supplier documentation

· Assist discipline lead with tasks as required for the Mechanical/HVAC discipline;

· Participate in technical design reviews / gate reviews of studies, tenders and EPC projects

· Review other discipline documentation and liaise with other disciplines in a multi-discipline environment

Qualifications & personal attributes

· Professional qualification at University level as Mechanical/HVAC engineer, BSc/MSc.

· Master of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics

· 5 years’ experience in detail engineering

· Experience with Equipment Procurement is an advantage(Bid and Tender)

· Experience with Chemical Equipment is an advantage

· Experience from offshore projects is highly valued

· Experience with PDMS modelling is an advantage

· Multidiscipline understanding and construction understanding.

· Fluent in the English language, verbal and written.

· Good communication skills
