职位描述

Position Title: Senior Manager, Product Management Asia Pacific (Oxidation Catalysts)

Work Location: Pudong, Shanghai

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Business Management Great China and Regional Head of Sales

People Management: No

Travel Required: Yes

Shift Required: No

Objectives:

Is responsible for managing the sales activities for Asia Pacific of Oxidation Catalysts.

Implements sales policies for the region in accordance with company practices. Is responsible for establishing and meeting sales goals and objectives.

Ensures that new accounts are established and existing business is expanded to its full potential.

Supports major contract negotiations. Maintains excellent customer relationships with all major accounts, to maintain and/or expand the company's preferred sales position.

Manages market intelligence databases on market trends, competitive activities, customer needs, potential new applications and pricing.

Manages sales channels for product penetration

Co-ordinates all information flow to and from product & business management

Is responsible for new product launch and new business development in the region

Is responsible for after-sales technical services for the managed product portfolio



Main Tasks:

1. Analyzes markets and market trends, customer needs, competitors and technologies to define marketing concepts and action items for different countries and business fields.

2. Implements marketing concepts; coordination and guidance of country sales force; cooperation with global colleagues in America and Europe

3. Develops partnership with key customers and partners

4. Provides technical service, start-up assistance and operation support to plants using BASF catalysts, build up strong customer relationship via technical expertise

5. Coordinates the technical support between the global product technology managers and the local sales force.

6. Prepares technical and commercial offers for Oxidation Catalysts, and gives guidelines for pricing and commercial terms

7. Introduces BASF catalysts to potential clients with technical presentations·

8. Provides technical/commercial training to sales personnel in the countries

9. Creates & implement sales strategy for new product launch

10. Creates ideas for new products and business models; gives input to R&D projects

Requirements:

1. Education: University degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline ·

2. Working Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in the petrochemical or catalyst industry (production and / or marketing)·

3. Technical and Professional Knowledge: Know-how on Catalysts is a plus·

4. Willing to travel extensively in Asia Pacific Region·

5. Excellent presentation skills

6. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
