Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADVS), the world's leading provider of automated solutions for investment professionals since 1983, is seeking an experienced and talented IT Support Engineer. This position will be located in Advent’s development center in Beijing, China.

Job Responsibilities

PC Support

Evaluation, management, and maintenance of workstations, printers, fax machines, and other equipment.

IT hardware and software procurement, purchase orders, and product research.

Diagnosis of Operating System, hardware and software.

Coordinating support with vendors for hardware maintenance and problems.

Software Application Support

Installation and support of Microsoft Office and other desktop applications software.

Works with customers and IT team to identify and document needs on software support.

As required, writes detailed specifications including technical and user documentation.

Network and Telecom Support

First level troubleshooting and support for LAN, Internet, Phone system and VPN issues.

Global Service Desk Role

Ability to work with worldwide IT team to capture vital diagnosis information aiding in problem determination, appropriate prioritization and escalation.

Fulfill customer service level agreements, develop and implement Helpdesk industry best practices for customer interaction, response times, escalation procedures, resolution, customer feedback/ survey of helpdesk performance.

Coordination of support to Microsoft and Dell technical resources.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or higher with an emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems preferred or equivalent experience required.

-Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

-English Level:CET4,Good communication in working environment, Write & Read emails, memos and reports.

Technical Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in IT support or customer service.

Solid knowledge of PC computer hardware and peripherals.

In-depth knowledge of PC software including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft applications, and other current software packages utilized in the work environment.

Basic knowledge of network and server management.

Must be able to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.

Must be a team player and willing to work with others through collaboration and reasoning.

One or more of following experience will be preferred:

Helpdesk process or ITIL

Active Directory

Sharepoint

VMware products
