Introduction:
-For Regional Compliance Office, we're looking for a Compliance Subject Matter Expert.
-Internal contact: SLC RCO/SCO/CuCO/DCO/LCO (if applicable), Middle Management, Central Functions Compliance, Peers & Team
-External contact: External Compliance Experts/Advisors Business Partners, Main Customers, Main Suppliers, if needed.
What are my Responsibilities?
Main function of job:
- Complex area of expertise in own field
- Specialty expertise combined with knowledge of Siemens business
- External recognition and contacts, senior leading role in field of expertise
- Materiality / importance of the field of expertise for the organization
Main accountabilities:
Risk Management
- Knowing strategy and environment of respective business and identification of risks involved
- Knowing recent market- and legal-trends / changes and analyzing potential risks/opportunities
- Implementing processes and methods to identify, analyze, evaluate and mitigate Compliance risks
- Prioritization of tasks and solutions based on risk assessment
- Supporting development of responses and monitoring risk mitigation
- Ensure that risks are adequatly reflected in the Compliance risk portfolio
Policies, procedures and controls
- Identification of the need for development or update of policy and respective control in own area of responsibility
- Implementation and advancement of effective Compliance processes and tools within own area of responsibility
- Build or participate in a network of experts to ensure consistency and quality of advice
- Ensuring high professional standards of quality and transparency of processes
- Ensuring that policies, procedures and controls are in line with Compliance Scope and Priorities
Integration in the business process
- Motivating and enabling business to take their responsiblity for compliant business conduct
- Acting as trusted partner and advisor by demonstrating expertise and understanding customer needs
- Developing and sustaining a solid network based on trust within the business
- Use translated rules and regulations and advice into "language" of business and promoting them actively
- Supporting to ensure that Compliance processes and tools are user-friendly and can be integrated into day-to-day operations and strategic business decision making
- Speaking as one Legal&Compliance voice to the internal customers
- Facilitating Business succcess by actively developing practical solutions together with business as a team
- Regularly seeking customer feedback
Training
- Acting as Compliance internal / - external partner and change agent within own area of responsibility
- Identify target groups for training and secure demand-oriented and -tailored materials (e.g. ensuring that corporate materials are supplemented with appropriate entity / target group specific
content
- Supporting to ensure the continuous knowledge transfer into relevant entities (Compliance-internal/-external)
- Creating awareness for and understanding of business responsibility for compliance andintegrity - Staying informed about developments of compliance topics
Communication
- Acting as facilitator and multiplicator in order to assert understanding and commitment of management and employees
- Giving input to Core Content
- Knowing what to communicate (including background mitigated risks and benefits), when, to whom and how
- Acting as guard by willingness to address compliance issues
- Participating in business communication activities to promote Compliance system and integrity
- Contribution to evaluation of communication effectiveness
Collective Action
- Support communication towards governmental officials, NGO`s and others in regard to Compliance System, Collective Action and other Compliance issues
- Supporting of Siemens Integrity Initiative
Monitoring and Reporting
- Supporting to monitor effectiveness and continuous improvement of Compliance system within own area of responsibility
- Supporting to evaluate adherence to policies and guidelines within own area of responsibility (e.g. Compliance Review, findings from investigations, violations of policies and guidelines)
- Ensuring timely adherence to internal and external reporting obligations
Case handling and remediation
- Responsibility for investigations and case tracking (local cases) based on the mandate from RCO
- Supporting of Investigations / Legal and case tracking (central cases)
- Detailed knowledge about all entities within area of responsibility
- Ensuring systematic tracking and management of compliance cases; ensuring quarterly certification
- Ensuring the exchange of information with relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring remediation actions by enforcing and securing effective implementation of remediation plan
- Ensuring high professional standards of quality and transparency of processes
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Competencies / skills:
-At lease 5 years Compliance related experiences including compliance risk assessment, compliance control framework, anti-trust, anti-corruption, etc.
-Or experiences in Audit, Legal, Risk&Internal Control and Business Administration

- or comparable education in own field of expertise
