Role (Purpose of the job)

As VGT Production Technical Specialist, you will be part of a global organization that delivers Telematic solutions to our customers. Important elements of the position are understanding operations in a Linux and Java based environment. Also equally important is the understanding of Telematics and communication over mobile networks. We expect you to have the ability to troubleshoot in a complex operational environment involving multiple partners or suppliers, and to have the attitude “we are ready when the customer is satisfied”.

Qualifications

The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability to establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in a global, multi-cultural organization. You are proactive and have a strong drive to continuously challenge and improve your knowledge. You are a good communicator and have deep presentations skills. You are also proficient in both spoken and written English.

Main competence requirements

·You have several years of experience in Linux, preferably Red Hat

·Experience in scripting

·Knowledge in high availability installations

·High Experience in Application servers JBoss or (WebSphere)

·Deployment of application in application servers

·Basic database knowledge (Oracle)

·Knowledge in Network (Fire Wall, Load Balancers…)

·Knowledge in ITIL

·Telecom experience is an advantage

·Experience of complex systems
